What we will see during the tour

The guided tour of the Dachau Memorial Site takes place within the historic grounds and includes the main places of remembrance: the Jourhaus with its famous entrance gate, the roll-call square (Appellplatz), the reconstructed barracks, the Bunker, the museum, the original buildings, the International Memorial, the crematorium, and Barrack X.

Through documents, photographs, and eyewitness accounts, we will explore the history of one of the first Nazi concentration camps, the regime’s system of persecution, the daily lives of the prisoners, and the role Dachau played between 1933 and 1945.

The Memorial Site is easily accessible from Munich by public transport or by car.
